Fractional Operating Partner · From 3 months · from $4,000 per month

Someone needs to own the follow-through.

You set the direction, but you do not want to be the only coordination point. I take on an agreed operating scope, work with functional leaders and connect decisions to actions that people can see and follow.

When this helps

Busy is no longer enough.

The founder is the dispatcher

The week disappears into reminders, renegotiation and other people's dependencies.

Functions run separate plans

Sales, delivery and finance disagree about capacity and what has been promised.

A full-time COO is premature

The business needs a specific operating outcome for part of the week, with practical boundaries.

Scope

An agreed scope with an end.

  • Weekly priorities, ownership and follow-through within the agreed scope.
  • Work with functional leaders, contractors and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Useful metrics, plan-versus-actual reviews, early risk escalation and decision proposals.
  • Keep the process working and transfer ownership as internal capability grows.

How it works

From facts to a working change.

Start · define the scope

Agree the problem, decision rights, functional owners and the decisions that remain with the founder.

First month · establish the cadence

Test actual workload, working windows, metrics and team availability.

Ongoing · run execution

Review commitments and dependencies, remove friction and revisit scope when new work arrives.

Handover · preserve the operation

Document decisions and transfer the scope to an internal owner or a permanent hire.

Acceptance

Know what the team will keep.

Choose function-specific measures before starting: reliability of commitments, approval lead time, capacity or founder coordination time. Reviews end with an owner, action and date; the state of work is visible between meetings.

Boundaries

Ownership needs boundaries.

From $4,000 per month covers up to one working day per week. More functions or availability require a different agreed budget. This is not automatically a full-time COO, accountant, lawyer or round-the-clock support role. Founder accountability is a separate service and does not include this operating mandate.

Relevant experience

I have worked inside the change.

At Nord Beaver, I owned P&L, resources, key clients and delivery. At True Lab, I connected two international offices across product, engineering, commercial and regulatory work. This experience matters when functional teams need to agree and carry decisions through to execution.

Pricing and start

From 3 months · from $4,000 per month

From $4,000 per month for an agreed operating scope and up to one working day per week. Initial term: three months, with each month paid in advance. Agree hours, working windows, response expectations and notice before starting. Extra capacity and commercial success fees are agreed separately.

Before starting, agree the outcome, scope, team involvement, decision rights and acceptance. Calendly books an introduction, not a paid project.

Questions

Is this advisory or a role inside the company?
It is execution inside an agreed company scope. Advisory and accountability support the founder's decisions; an operating mandate adds delivery and explicit authority.
Can we begin with an Operational Reset?
Yes. A bounded project can reveal the recurring scope. Ongoing support is not a required continuation.
Who makes the final decisions?
We agree this before starting. Without delegated authority, I bring decisions to the founder; with it, I act within the mandate.
